A conscientious teacher decides she had better grade all the test papers. To encourage herself to reach the highest standard of performance, she uses the desperation technique to motivate herself. The rules are as follows: Every failed grade means that she has not done her job properly and she must drink a small cup of water as punishment before she can move on to the next paper. In addition, in order to make this self discipline count, she will not permit herself to use the bathroom until all the papers have been graded. The class is a big one and there are too many students who have failed, leading to a lot of water consumed and a very full bladder before the task is finished. She crosses her legs and squirms as she continues grading papers, and with just a few more to go, she is bursting and starts to fear that she has delayed too long and won't finish the job before she is compelled to wet herself.
