Report on the Waiting in Line Shoot
by David North
How Did It Go?
Taking on a project like this is fraught with danger. Bringing so many models together with such different personalities, there was no way to know how they would work together. True, many of them have worked with us for some time, but there was always a chance that claws would appear. Happily, they didn't, and the entire day went off very smoothly. The girls did a lot of networking, and genuinely seemed to have fun with the entire shoot.
It was ambitious to try to film four movies in about 5 hours, but we managed it. Not everyone peed in every movie, which is really as it should be if one is looking for realism. One could hardly expect everyone to perform this very personal act with ease in front of 12 other people (including Bruce, the male in the mix whom most of them had never met before). It was a lot to ask that they could perform at all, and in that, they exceeded my expectations.
At the end of the day, I felt confident that we had recorded some good content, and upon editing, I can see that we indeed did. I was especially amazed that the girls all worked with such ease when, with a few exceptions, they had no script to work from. Bev had several pages of script for her role as the boss in Bursting in the Boardroom, but in true Bev style, she only used a few lines and then created her own dialogue as she went along. No rehearsing; it was spontaneous, and it was far better than what had been written for her.
Did it work out? Oh yes, it worked. I'm sure not everyone will be happy (so what's new?), and there are certainly things I would have done differently had there been a second take (but there can seldom be a second take with desperate women), but that's always the case. The shoot was, for me, a resounding success. For your part, I hope you will find it as entertaining as it was to film.
How Will Contributors Receive Their Movies?
A key question, and one that is surely on every contributor's mind. This is how distribution will be handled.
- You will automatically receive a list of user names and passwords to access the Waiting in Line set of movies. These will be send on a first-come, first-served basis, meaning that the earliest contributors get the movies first. Passwords will be issued in batches in order of the date when each contribution was made. This is necessary because we had 153 contributors, and the movies sum to more than 1 gigabyte of bandwidth. If you were all given access at the same time, the server would crash! Please be patient - writing to us and asking for earlier access will not speed up this process.
- Those of you who want the movie set on a DVD must write to Dave at north@bound2burst.net using the subject PLEASE SUPPLY WIL DVD. We will determine the country format using your address. We can only supply DVDs in Region 1 (USA & Canada) and Region 2 (Europe) formats. Our software does not accommodate Region 0, unfortunately. If you have a region-free DVD player, or you have altered your DVD player to make it region free, you don't need to worry about which format is used, but you will still have to write to let us know that you want the DVD!
- If you did not contribute to the fund, please DO NOT write asking for a DVD. This will only be supplied to customers whose identity can be verified using the unique transaction ID that was issued in response to each contribution. The DVD will be available for sale too when the movies are launched.

Jayne Shows Off the Movie Sets
Here is a short movie with Jayne showing you the sets built for the waiting in line shoot. This was filmed the day before when a few finishing touches were still required on the sets. As Jayne puts it, "Dave went a little crazy with this one."

A Little Bit About the Movies
Bursting in the Boardroom
We put all 9 models in the small meeting room, placing Danielle and Jynx in chairs flanking Bev owing to limited space at the table. All nine of them really needed to pee before we started filming. Several (Lola and Tabitha) were absolutely bursting to go, and as expected, they had no trouble wetting themselves in the presence of the others.
Rather than flood the entire room, we decided that it would be a good idea if those who wet themselves were dismissed by an angry Bev, and the others who were not department heads would be released after a while, keeping only those whom Bev wanted for additional discussions. We interspersed sequences of four of the girls using the toilet with Bev continuing to talk with Jayne and Rachael.
Eventually, Bev dismisses them and they hurry off, but their peeing was not filmed. Neither Jayne nor Rachael wanted to participate in pulling down panties to pee on camera, which was fair enough. The overall effect is more authentic because we don't see all the ladies at the table lose control, nor do we witness everyone single one of them having a pee. Knowing that they were sitting there with full bladders was enough.
Line at the Ladies
The main movie of the set (at least in the original concept), it turned out to be just 13 minutes long after editing. I didn't remove much material; it's just that the action all happens very quickly. There were fears that this might turn out to be a 20-25-minute movie with all the girls just standing in line, but that was never going to be the case, not with this group of models.
They had no instructions other than to not overact, and behave as if there were other people present, including males and children. To a reasonable extent, they did achieve this, but they also brought their own particular styles to the movie, which makes it very much more interesting. We witness the girls complaining, queue jumping, and making snippy remarks in their discomfort. Some get into the porta-potty in time, a few don't make it, and one even runs off because she can't hold it any longer but isn't prepared to stand there and humiliate herself.
We decided that some of the women ought to make it, and for these sequences we removed the lid of the pp and filmed them going from above. I considered adding more illumination to these sequences, but in the end decided to let them look a little dark the way the interior of the pp would be in reality. This also made the sequences a little less graphic. However, this is more than off-set by the thunderous sound that occurs when the girls pee. It's like thunder at time!
At the start of filming, Nyxon was so incredibly desperate to pee that she couldn't hold it. Unfortunately, we were not quite ready to start filming, so we had to quickly film a sequence with Beverley inside the porta-potty and Nyxon turning up alone. Genuinely unable to wait, she dashed around the side of the pp to wet herself. This didn't really fit into the subsequent movie, so it was included at the end as an extra.
The original plan was to pad out this movie with external footage recorded at an outdoor event such as a fair or a carnival, but we were unable to collect any footage that really worked. The problems were (a) context - the one event we filmed was not really the kind of thing where these women like these would be present, and (b) the lighting levels on location and on the set were completely at odds. This would have been a major distraction had the sequences been combined, so I decided to drop the external footage completely. Since the main objective was to watch the girls struggling and bitching as they have to hold it in the line, it was felt that it was best to leave well alone and let their performances stand unadulterated. Even without a soundtrack, the movie really does work extraordinarily well...in my opinion of course.
Going Up (Trapped in an Elevator 2)
The elevator theme is one I just had to revisit (in fact, I have visited it for a third time with another movie with just Jayne, Lola and Nyxon, but that one won't be out for a while yet). Having all 8 girls in there with one male seemed like the ideal scenario. The girls all liked Bruce and had no trouble with him being there, so perhaps their behaviour is a little more open than it would really be if he were really their boss and this was a company's elevator. Nevertheless, they played their parts well. Their dialogue (all of their own making) was often spot on, and when some of them did pee, the reactions were not at all bad. Given the unusual circumstances, and that fact that none of these girls are really actresses, I was amazed at how well this movie turned out.
As with the others, not everyone pees (Madison was dying but couldn't release - she had a lot of trouble with this, and we included a little postscript at the end of the movie where she uses the bathroom again). Those whom you would expect to do it perform: Tabitha, Lola, Jayne, and Nyxon. Danielle does but she is tucked away at the back; Jynx seems to but doesn't release a lot, and Rachael isn't able to go. She just disappeared after the movie and used the bathroom in private. Once again, this range of reactions makes the situation more authentic than having all the women lose it, which is certainly something that would not happen in real life unless they were trapped for many hours.
All in all, this movie worked very well indeed.
Dicing With Desperation
The last movie of the day, and we decided to film it outside. This reduced what was at stake in terms of peeing on a carpet or linoleum, but it gave us a lot more space and allowed the girls to move around a lot more.
Filming didn't start on this one until 3:30 and we were scheduled to stop at 4 (as Madison oh so kindly pointed out on
camera!). The game was one where each model had to throw two die and throw the number suggested by the previous model in the circle. We were going to use 3 die originally to make it highly unlikely that anyone would escape, but since we were running out of time, it seemed better to have two and have some able to depart. The movie is just for fun and you don't see much wetting. Lola did a spectacular one near the end, but it happened off camera. One would not think that possible with three cameras running, but at the critical moment, the mobile camera was off as we dealt with Madison who wanted to go and pee in the woods, and Lola unwittingly managed to step out of the frame of the other two. A pity, but that's life. You do hear her stream hitting the ground though. You also get to see Tabitha, who actually won, using the bathroom right at the end.
This turned out to be a fun movie to end the session, but it doesn't quite deliver the goods. Having said that, I think the content does work as far as it goes. Filming four movies in five hours was definitely over-ambitious though, and here is where we pay for it a little.
And in Conclusion
I think I've done a fair job of assessing the warts, and highlighting the truly good bits. I am extremely happy with the result; it all worked out remarkably well. Anyone who remembers our disastrous Halloween shoot from 2007 knows how badly things could have gone. Instead, we have a set of movies to be proud of, and that will stand the test of time.
My special thanks to all the models who turned up and made this event happen, and gave so much to make the movies work. You're a wonderful bunch of girls.
My sincere appreciation to everyone of you out there who contributed to the fund to make this shoot possible. I hope you will be happy with the result.
A final, big thank you must go to my wife not only for allowing all this to take place in her home, but also for cooking a mountain of scrumptious food for everyone to eat. Just don't make those models too fat dear!!
All the best - Dave.
